Living Heritage Exhibition and IMMERSED Jazz Concert: Art Inspiring a Refined Way of Living

Where heritage meets contemporary music, GG Corporation presents two outstanding cultural experiences: the “Living Heritage – Legacy for the Future” Exhibition and the IMMERSED Jazz Concert, officially held on November 15, 2025, at GEM Center (HCMC). The events became a convergence of knowledge, art, and emotion, allowing the public to immerse themselves in a space that nurtures spiritual depth, humanity, and creativity.

“Living Heritage – Legacy for the Future” Exhibition: Where Heritage Is Told Through Art

The exhibition opens an elegant artistic space where calligraphy, visual art, and multimedia installations come together to portray the life journeys, philosophies, and inspirations of Vietnamese figures with international influence across medicine, finance, arts, and culture. This is not merely a display, but a contemplative space inviting visitors to connect with timeless humanistic and cultural values.

Timeless Values Passed On to Future Generations

With a mission to connect and preserve living heritage, GG Corporation develops the Living Heritage project as a multi-sensory platform: from the website www.livingheritage.vn
– a self-learning space to explore global inspirational figures – to the annual Living Heritage e-book series, beginning with Volume 1, *“The Universal Within – Vũ trụ của TÂM”*, and to world-class artistic events such as the IMMERSED Jazz Concert, where music becomes an emotional and educational experience that elevates a refined lifestyle.

The exhibition also marks the launch of the digital book *“The Universal Within – Vũ trụ của TÂM”* (Volume 1), the first in GG Corporation’s annual publication series. The book features outstanding Vietnamese figures around the world, celebrating intellect, resilience, and creativity, while guiding readers on a journey into the “universe within” — where spiritual strength, compassion, and humanistic thinking form the foundation of a fulfilling and meaningful life.

From science to art, from knowledge to emotional insight, Living Heritage honors Vietnamese figures with global impact. Associate Professor – Doctor – Physician Phan Toan Thang — renowned as “the scientist who turns waste into gold” — developed the technology to extract stem cells from the umbilical membrane, now patented in more than 80 countries, transforming what was once discarded into knowledge that serves humanity.

On the artistic front, Sir Niels Lan Doky (Do Ky Lan), the Vietnamese-born “Jazz Knight,” has crafted his legacy through more than 46 albums and hundreds of performances at iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. Meanwhile, Author Xuan Phuong — filmmaker, painter, writer, and former war correspondent, now 96 — continues to inspire with her remarkable vitality, embodying a “young at heart” spirit grounded in compassion, faith, and a love for life.

At the exhibition, a treasured calligraphy piece by the late Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh featuring the two Han characters “An Trú” (Peaceful Abiding) was displayed alongside an ikebana artwork by Nixon Tran. The combination of calligraphy and minimalistic floral arrangement created a serene ambiance that visually expressed inner stillness and mindfulness, offering a gentle reminder of the profound power of presence in modern life.

Visitors also enjoyed performances on the prestigious C. Bechstein piano, and explored the Aroma Therapy Collection “The Universal Within” and the Lifestyle Collection “Living Heritage” — creative works blending art, life philosophy, and contemporary wellbeing. The exhibition was free and open to the public, encouraging reflection and the sharing of Vietnamese heritage values.

The event also introduced the Living Heritage Foundation – the “Legacy for the Future” Fund – dedicated to supporting cultural, educational, and healthcare initiatives rooted in humanistic values. Its first initiative was the Nguyen Thai Binh Scholarship for students in flood-affected regions, awarded in collaboration with Thanh Niên Newspaper, with a total value of VND 500 million to support disadvantaged students in central Vietnam.

Guided by its philosophy of “Educational Entertainment,” the Foundation continues to develop multi-sensory artistic programs to inspire young generations, helping emerging talents explore emotional depth, artistic courage, and creative expression. In 2025–2026, the Foundation will accompany the Carl Bechstein Vietnam – Thailand Piano Competition 2026 and the Grand Opus Performing Competition (GOPC) 2026, offering young Vietnamese artists opportunities to shine on international stages and contribute to the contemporary cultural landscape.

Jazz Concert – IMMERSED: A Journey of Emotion and Cultural Dialogue

At 7 PM the same evening, the IMMERSED Jazz Concert officially took place at GEM Center, Ho Chi Minh City. The concert featured world-renowned jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky — Royal Danish Knight, recognized by Swing Journal as “the most gifted pianist of his generation.” He performed alongside international artists Felix Pastorius (bass) and Jonas Johansen (drums), with special collaborations by renowned Vietnamese performers such as People’s Artist Thanh Lam, singer Hà Trần, saxophonist Quyen Thien Dac, People’s Artist Hoàng Anh, and Musician Quoc Trung.

The program was intricately crafted by General Director Pham Hoang Nam, Music Director Musician Quoc Trung, and costume designer Tom Trandt, creating a unique intersection between international jazz and the contemporary Vietnamese musical spirit, where each melody tells a story and stirs emotion.

More than a concert, IMMERSED offered a multi-sensory journey, meticulously designed in both sound and staging. The venue was equipped with a state-of-the-art L-Acoustics system, one of the world’s leading brands in premium performance audio engineering.
