Sir Niels Lan Doky performs impressively with Vietnamese artists

During the Jazz Concert – Immersed in Vietnam, world jazz pianist Sir Niels Lan Doky (Vietnamese name Do Ky Lan) — the Vietnamese-born “Jazz Knight” — delivered a series of impressive performances.
Jazz Concert – Immersed and the Living Heritage – Heritage for the Future Exhibition took place in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of November 15. The two events, part of the Living Heritage project organized by GG Corporation, are considered a convergence of knowledge, art, and emotion.

The Jazz Concert – Immersed featured world-class jazz pianist Sir Niels Lan Doky — Royal Danish Knight — who performed alongside international musicians Felix Pastorius (bass) and Jonas Johansen (drums).

In addition, Sir Niels Lan Doky delivered unique collaborative performances with Vietnamese artists such as People’s Artist Thanh Lam, People’s Artist Hoang Anh, singer Ha Tran, saxophonist Quyen Thien Dac, and musician Ho Hoai Anh.
The Living Heritage – Heritage for the Future exhibition offered a space showcasing art, calligraphy, and a multimedia platform that recreated the life journeys, philosophies, and inspirations of internationally influential Vietnamese figures in medicine, finance, art, and culture.

The project includes a multimedia platform, including: livingheritage.vn — a self-learning platform for building high-quality mental and emotional spaces; introducing inspirational and globally influential Vietnamese figures; and publishing the Living Heritage e-book series, with Volume 1 titled *The Universal Within – Universe of the Mind*.

Among the prominent figures featured in the first edition are Associate Professor – Doctor – Physician Phan Toan Thang, Sir Niels Lan Doky, and filmmaker, war correspondent, artist, and author Nguyen Thi Xuan Phuong.
At the event, visitors could also experience performances on the renowned C. Bechstein piano, along with various collections that creatively combine art, philosophy of life, and contemporary aesthetics.

The “Living Heritage Foundation” was also officially announced, with a mission to support development initiatives in culture, education, and healthcare.

Its first initiative is the Nguyen Thai Binh Scholarship for students in flood-affected areas, with a total value of VND 500 million.
In 2025–2026, the Heritage for the Future Fund will accompany the Carl Bechstein Vietnam – Thailand Piano Competition 2026, held in both Vietnam and Thailand, creating opportunities for young contestants to expand beyond domestic stages and engage with a more open artistic environment.

The Heritage for the Future Fund partners with the Grand Opus Performing Competition

In parallel, the fund also supports the Grand Opus Performing Competition (GOPC) 2026, one of the region’s largest competitions for Piano, Violin, Viola, and Cello. Preliminary rounds will take place in multiple countries and territories before the grand finale, which will feature two orchestras, four conductors, and more than 80 professional artists performing alongside the contestants.
