Creativity Can Make Your Brain 4–7 Years Younger
Recent international study found that people who regularly engage in creative activities—such as dancing, painting, and strategy video gaming—had brains that appeared 4–7 years younger than their actual age.
The research used advanced brain-age modeling to compare neural patterns between creative individuals and non-creative controls. Participants who adopted new creative hobbies later in life also showed signs of younger-looking brain structures.

These findings highlight how mentally stimulating, expressive activities may help maintain cognitive vitality over time.
According to researchers at Trinity College Dublin, creativity may be a powerful, accessible tool for supporting lifelong brain health.
